Angelus Temple
Andrew, Jennie and family lived just up the hill from Angelus Temple and LIFE Bible College. The family was at Angelus Temple on opening day in 1923, and were very involved in the church and the college. Andrew taught Art and Bible, and Jennie taught English, Bible and Personal Work.
Their children attended LIFE and some met their spouses there, like their oldest son Bryant. He met and married Lola Lee Raney, and Aimee Semple McPherson conducted the ceremony, photo below. Lola Lee helped design and sew the LIFE ladies’ uniforms.

Andrew and Sadie’s children, Bryant, Hubert, Helen and Jean were all in the wedding party of Aimee Semple McPherson’s daughter’s wedding in the 1920s.

Andrew Mitchell created these sculptures of Angelus Temple. He wrote correspondence courses for LIFE Bible College, pictured below. These were advertised, along with his plaques for sale in the Foursquare bookstore, in their Bridal Call magazine (ads below).

Andrew’s daughter-in-law, Lola Lee Raney attended LIFE and married Bryant Mitchell in 1928. She helped design and sew these school uniforms. Ladies uniform at the Foursquare museum below.
Andrew’s son-in-law David Morken was student body president in 1930. David married Helen Mitchell. See article about her to the right.
